On Thursday, 24 October, four Year 11 students attended an integrity 20 conference held by Griffith University in the State Library of Queensland in Brisbane.
The students witnessed multiple lightning talks, breakout sessions and an interactive seminar discussing contemporary issues such as human rights, mental health, ethical technology, the future of food, the hard work of happiness, compassion, free speech, environmental optimism and international organised crime. Experts answered critical questions about the important issues being experienced in today’s society.
This was an educational and stimulating day to become aware of the issues that impact us on a local, national and global scale.
Finally, we would like to thank Mr Nethery for taking the time to organise and travel to Brisbane for this enlightening excursion.
